During the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our clients, their families and carers, as well as our team remains our utmost priority. Following investigation into identification of risk, managing the risk and establishing a safe environment to comply with government guidelines and our governing bodies, Neurocare has made some changes in service provision.
We have implemented some additional procedures both before and during your treatment to maximise infection control in our clinic locations and during home visits. These are available on request.
We have robust infection control procedures, including the use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) in line with Government guidelines, to ensure that the risk is as low as possible.
Virtual Appointments
During the pandemic we have been offering virtual appointments e.g. video link up or telephone, for remote physiotherapy treatment with great success and this will be continued in the near future.
Face to face appointments
Face to face appointments may be offered following an initial virtual consultation (e.g. video link or phone). During this consultation you will be asked questions about your health and the condition you require treatment for. The most appropriate and safest course of action to help your condition will then be discussed.
If you are offered treatment in a clinic or at home the procedure will be explained to you before the appointment. If you do not feel comfortable having a face to face session, please do not worry, we can offer treatment on a virtual basis and can help you with this process.
Please note that as yet, not all of our clinics are open for treatment but you are more than welcome at any available clinic.
Consent
While every effort has been implemented to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 to allow you to have physiotherapy treatment as soon and as safely as possible, I am sure you will appreciate that we are unable to guarantee a completely COVID-19 free environment. The benefit you gain from your physiotherapy must be weighed against the risk of COVID-19 infection. We will therefore kindly ask that clients complete a consent form to acknowledge the risk, albeit minimal, prior to restarting your treatment.
Self Decleration
All persons present during every face to face session will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms (questions and a remote temperature check) and asked to sign a declaration form.
As you can see, we have and will continue to make every effort to ensure your safety but if you have any specific concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
